Yesenia Ocampo

DIRECTOR OF HEALTH PROGRAM

Yesenia serves as the Health Program Director at the Dolores Huerta Foundation, where she holds a key role in overseeing the comprehensive operations of all health programs. Her responsibilities encompass spearheading initiatives for adult vaccination and facilitating access to health and nutrition programs. With a robust background spanning over a decade in the realm of community health, Yesenia brings a wealth of experience, with a particular emphasis on Health Policy and advocacy for historically disenfranchised communities.

Before her current position, Yesenia was pivotal in steering the Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health Initiative and the Youth and Family Civic Engagement Initiative for DHF. Her dedication to addressing health disparities and fostering community well-being is evident in her diverse portfolio of initiatives. Yesenia earned her BA in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, underscoring her commitment to a holistic understanding of societal factors that impact health outcomes. Her leadership and expertise contribute significantly to DHF’s mission to enhance the health and well-being of communities.
