Schools are required by law to get parent and community input before they decide how to spend Local Control Funding Formula money that is meant for low-income students, English language learners, and foster youth. Join the Kern Education Justice Collaborative (KEJC) and attend any of the meetings listed below. Let your school officials know that you want some of this money to be spent on positive discipline policies.

All meetings are held at Kern High School District Offices, 5801 Sundale Avenue, Bakersfield, CA  93309. Contact Gerald Cantu at (661) 322-3033 ext. 1209 for more information and to find out how you can get involved. Our children are the future!
